Control Panel Features

  1. Power Button

    • Press the button to turn the appliance on. Press again to turn the appliance off.

      Note
      • Pressing the Power button during a cycle will cancel that cycle and any load settings will be lost.

  2. Cycle Selector Knob

    • Turn this knob to select the desired cycle. Once the desired cycle has been selected, the standard presets will be shown in the display. On Manual Dry cycles, these settings can be adjusted using the cycle modifier buttons anytime before starting the cycle.

  3. Start/Pause Button

    • Press this button to start the selected cycle. If the appliance is running, use this button to pause the cycle without losing the current settings.

      Note
      • If you do not press the Start/Pause button to resume a cycle within a certain time, the appliance turns off automatically and all cycle settings are lost.

  4. Extra Options and Functions / Cycle Modifier Buttons

    • Use these buttons to select the desired options for the selected cycle. Not all options are available for each cycle.

    • Remote Start

      • With the LG ThinQ app, you can use a smartphone to control your appliance remotely.

    • Wi-Fi

      • Press and hold the Condenser Care button for 3 seconds to initiate the connection of the appliance to the LG ThinQ application.

  5. Time and Status Display

    • The display shows the settings, estimated time remaining, options, and status messages for the appliance. When the appliance is turned on, the default settings in the display will illuminate.

  1. Condenser Clean Indicator

    • This icon indicates the condenser auto cleaning status. The icon is displayed when water is being sprayed on the condenser.

  2. Clean Filter Reminder

    • The display will show Clean Filter when the dryer is turned on as a reminder to clean the filter. It turns off when the Start/Pause button is pressed.

    • It turns on every time you turn on the power. Always make sure the lint filter is clean before starting a new load.

  3. Cycle Status Indicators

    • Dry lights up when the appliance is in the drying stage.

    • Cool lights up when the appliance is in the cool down stage.

  4. Estimated Time Remaining

    • When a drying cycle is selected, the estimated drying time for the selected cycle is displayed. This time will change if you select extra options for the cycle.

    • The cycle time on Sensor Dry cycles may fluctuate as the appliance recalculates drying time for optimal results.

    • Error messages will appear when the appliance diagnoses problems.
