Ensure to connect your device in the app before installation. After it's mounted, connection can be difficult.

Installation on Junction Box

Read all warnings, cautions, and notes carefully, and follow the steps in order.

This device must be installed on a standard 4-inch round, UL-listed weatherproof electrical junction box, the type used for outdoor wall light fixtures.

Step 1. Select Location

Choose an installation location that provides a clear view of the area you want to monitor with the LG Floodlight Cam.
For best results, install at a height of 7–10 ft (2–3 m). Use your smartphone to check that the Wi-Fi signal at the selected location is strong and stable.

The LG Floodlight Cam must be installed on a junction box.
When installing the device at a height, use a sturdy and stable ladder placed on level ground. Exercise extreme caution to prevent falls and use an assistant to hold the ladder.

Before installing, consider the following to select the best location.

Place the device with enough clearance around it.
Mount the device upright on a vertical surface. Other positions may reduce Floodlight performance.
Avoid pointing the device directly at the sun or other strong light sources, as this may damage the image sensor or degrade video quality.
Avoid installing the device behind glass or too close to a side wall. Infrared (IR) light reflection may cause glare and degrade night vision quality.

Step 2. Attach Mounting Plate

Turn off the outdoor power at the circuit breaker.
Insert the wires inside the junction box into the openings on the outer rim of the Mounting Plate.
Then secure the Mounting Plate to the junction box with the Mounting Screws, making sure the arrow on the Mounting Plate is facing downward.

Use wires with a cross-sectional area of 0.75 mm².

Step 3. Assemble Product & Turn On Power

Connect each wire from the junction box to the matching colored wire on the Outdoor Camera.
Align the arrow engraved on the back of the Outdoor Camera with the arrow on the Mounting Plate and then turn the plate clockwise to fasten it.
Secure the product by tightening the Locking Screw in the hole at the bottom of the Outdoor Camera.
Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
Check that the camera LED turns on to confirm power is supplied.

Junction box wire colors may vary by region or building age. If colors do not match, connect the wires by function (Live, Neutral, and Ground) instead of color. If you are uncertain, consult a qualified electrician.
Ensure the device is properly grounded during installation to prevent electric shock, especially in the event of a short circuit or lightning.
Turn off the circuit breaker before connecting electrical wires. Have a licensed electrician perform the wiring if you are not experienced with electrical work.

Step 4. Adjust Camera Angle

Pull the front part of the Outdoor Camera and adjust the lens to your desired viewing angle.
Once the desired angle is set, tighten the Fixing Screw on the bottom of the Outdoor Camera with the provided Screw Wrench to secure the angle.
Manually adjust the Floodlights to your desired angle.

The Camera Lens angle can be adjusted downward up to 55°.

Before adjusting the Floodlight angle, turn it off.
Always wear gloves before making any adjustments.
Carefully adjust the angle of the Camera Lens and Floodlights, and don't force them beyond their natural stopping points to prevent product damage.

Step 5. Adjust Floodlight Angle

Manually adjust the Floodlights to the desired angle.

Left or right: up to 25°
Upward: up to 30°
Downward: up to 80°

Before adjusting the Floodlight direction, disconnect the circuit breaker to completely cut off power.
Always wear gloves before making any adjustments.
Turn the Floodlight to adjust the angle and don't force it beyond its natural stopping point to prevent product damage.
