Using Audible Diagnosis to Diagnose Issues
This control panel is only available on some models.
Follow the instructions below to use the audible diagnosis method.
Launch the LG ThinQ application and select the Smart Diagnosis feature in the menu. Follow the instructions for audible diagnosis provided in the LG ThinQ application.
- Control Panel 1: Inside the Fridge*1
Open the fridge door.
Press the Vacation button.
If the door has been open for longer than 60 seconds, close the door and repeat steps 1 and 2.
Hold the phone near the center of the fridge’s top section.
Press and hold the Freezer button for 3 seconds or longer while holding your phone to the speaker until the data transfer is complete.
After the data transfer is complete, the diagnosis will be displayed in the application.
- Control Panel 2: On the Fridge Door*1
Open the fridge door and close the freezer door.
Close and open the fridge door 5 times in 8 seconds until the LED lamp turn off.
Hold the phone near the speaker hole.
After the data transfer is complete, the diagnosis will be displayed in the application.
For best results, do not move the phone while the tones are being transmitted.
