Control Panel and Functions
Alarm Indicator
The indicator lights up and an error message appears when the appliance detects problems during the operation. See the Error Messages in the Before Calling for Service section for more information.
Express Freeze Indicator
This function can quickly freeze a large amount of ice or frozen foods.
To activate this function, press the Freezer button repeatedly until the express freeze indicator lights up.
This function operates for about 24 hours, then turns off automatically.
When this mode is on, noise may occur and energy consumption may increase.
Freezer
Press this button repeatedly to select a desired temperature between -16 °C and -24 °C.
The default freezer temperature is -18 °C.
The freezer temperature is set to the following sequence:
-16 °C, -18 °C, -20 °C, -22 °C, -24 °C, Express Freeze
Mode
Press this button to select Holiday Mode or Vacation Mode.
Holiday Indicator
The indicator lights up when the Holiday mode is activated.
This function is useful when you are away on a holiday. When this function is on, the fridge temperature is 8 ℃ and the freezer temperature -18 ℃. When this function is off, the fridge and freezer temperature return to the previous temperature settings.
To activate this function, press the Mode button repeatedly until the Holiday indicator lights up. To deactivate this function, press the Mode button.
When this function is on, the Holiday indicator stays on and -- appears on the fridge temperature screen.
CautionWhen this function is on, be careful about storing foods that require a lower temperature than the default temperature.
When you return home, remember to turn this function off to return the refrigerator to its previous temperature settings.
Vacation Indicator
The indicator lights up when the Vacation mode is activated.
This function is useful when you are away on a vacation. When this function is on, the fridge temperature is 6 ℃ and the freezer temperature -16 ℃. When this function is off, the fridge and freezer temperature return to the previous temperature settings.
To activate this function, press the Mode button repeatedly until the Vacation indicator lights up. To deactivate this function, press the Mode button.
When this function is on, the Vacation indicator stays on and E appears in the freezer and fridge temperature screen.
CautionWhen this function is on, be careful about storing foods that require a lower temperature than the default temperature.
When you return home, remember to turn this function off to return the refrigerator to its previous temperature settings.
Express Cool Indicator
This function can quickly cool a large amount of foods such as vegetable, fruit and so on.
To activate this function, press the Fridge button repeatedly until the express cool indicator lights up.
This function automatically terminates after a specific period has passed.
Fridge
Press this button repeatedly to select a desired temperature between 2 °C and 8 °C.
The default fridge temperature is 5 °C.
The fridge temperature is set to the following sequence:
08 °C, 06 °C, 05 °C, 04 °C, 02 °C, Express Cool
The actual inner temperature varies depending on the food status, as the indicated setting temperature is a target temperature, not the actual temperature within the appliance.
For optimal food preservation, increasing or decreasing one level from the default temperature is recommended.
The control panel will turn off automatically for energy saving.
If there is any finger or skin contacts to the control panel while cleaning it, the button function may operate.
Drink Cool Mode
This mode is used to cool drinks within an adjustable time. The fridge fan operates more frequently to circulate the cool air in the fridge compartment during the set time.
Press and hold the Freezer button for 3 seconds.
^ appears in the freezer temperature screen and Os appears in the fridge temperature screen.
Press the Fridge button to select a desired time.
The time is set to the following sequence:
05 ~ 10 ~ 15 ~ 20 ~ 25 ~ 30 minutes
The remaining time appears on the fridge temperature screen.
An alarm sounds when the set time has run out. Press the Freezer button to stop the alarm.
To deactivate this function, press and hold the Freezer button for 3 seconds.
Stand-by Mode
This feature is only available on some models.
This function is useful when you are away on a holiday. The Stand-by Mode disables all cooling and interior lights in the fridge and freezer compartments to conserve energy.
Set the fridge temperature at 8 °C.
Press and hold the Mode and Fridge buttons at the same time for 5 seconds.
st and by appear on the freezer and fridge temperature screen respectively.
The control panel will turn off until a button is pressed.
Do not store any food in the fridge during the Stand-by Mode, or it will quickly deteriorate.
When deactivated, a high temperature error message may appear on the control panel. Once the set temperatures are reached, the error message will disappear.
