Using Live Playback (Real-time Playback)
It is a function you can use to temporarily save the program you are currently watching to a USB HDD, so you can play back any scenes you might miss while watching TV. This function allows you to continue watching from where you were previously if you go out for a while.
- Input the USB HDD in the USB port.
- Press the START LIVE PLAYBACK button left corner of the screen.
-
While watching live broadcast use the pointer to select a point on the progress bar where you want to resume watching. You can also press the

buttons on your Remote Control to use this feature.

Live Playback is not available for UHDTV channels.
Select a device to be used with Live Playback when two or more USB HDDs are connected to the TV.
You cannot use a USB flash drive. Connect a USB HDD with 80 GB or more of total storage.
If there is not enough remaining space in the USB HDD, Live Playback may not work properly. To use the Live Playback function, you need the USB HDD which has at least 2.3 GB of free space.
It can be used in analog or digital broadcasting and in Input mode.

With the Live Playback function, you can play a program back for up to two hours depending on remaining USB HDD capacity.
If you select SAVE in pop-up that appears when Live Playback starts, a maximum of two hours of content will be saved even when the TV is turned off and back on.
When the TV is turned off and back on, the saved content resumes playing.
(Live Playback duration must be more than 90 seconds after setting Live Playback.)
For some ULTRA HD models, if the Live Playback function is in use for an analog channel, you cannot select the buffering section of the programs broadcast in ULTRA HD. (The channel will be switched to the current program being broadcast when you try to select the section.)
