Adjusting ODD(CD / DVD-ROM) Speed

You can set the ODD to [Low Noise Mode] or [High Performance Mode] as necessary.

Tip:

In the [Low Noise Mode], the ODD noise is reduced but the ODD data transmission speed goes down.

In the [High Performance Mode], you can read and copy DVDs at a fast speed and install large software quickly.

Perform the following procedure to switch to [Low Noise Mode] or [High Performance Mode].

Click [Start] > [My Computer] and check [Devices with Removable Storage].
Right-click the ODD device and select [ODD Speed].
When the following screen appears, select [Low Noise Mode] or [High Performance Mode].
The setting changes as the following screen appears.

Note:

If any disc is inserted in the ODD, the setting does not change and the following warning is displayed.

Remove the disc and click the OK button to change the setting.
