Making DVDs Using Windows Program

The Windows DVD Maker makes a DVD video disc from the contents (pictures and videos) stored in your computer.

Tip:

You cannot make a DVD video disc from the videos created with the codecs not supported by Windows DVD Maker.

Making DVDs Using Windows DVD Maker

  1. Select [Start] > [All Programs] > [Windows DVD Maker].

  2. When Windows DVD Maker runs, click [Choose Photos and Videos].

  3. When the following screen appears, click [Add items] to select contents.

  4. The contents for the DVD video disc are added.

  5. Click the [Options] button to adjust the functions and settings of the DVD video disc and click [OK].

  6. When the following screen appears, you can select the menu type and texts for the DVD video disc.

    • File: Selects the current project.

    • Preview: Previews the DVD video set by the user.

    • Menu Text: Edits the texts for the DVD menu.

    • Menu Customization: Changes and saves DVD menu style.

    • Slide Show: If you make a DVD video disc from pictures, you can add the slide show function and insert music.

    • Menu Type: Selects the basic menu type for the DVD video disc.

  7. Finish the user settings and click the [Burn] button.

  8. The DVD video disc is created as shown below.

Making DVD Directly from Window Explorer

  1. In Window Explorer, select the contents and click [Burn] in the top of the screen.

  2. When you insert a blank DVD and the following screen appears, you can make a DVD in the way you want.

    • Like a USB flash drive: Stores, edits and deletes disc files anytime.

    • With a CD/DVD player: Cannot edit or delete file(s) once they are burned.

  3. Select the desired menu and click the Next button to make a DVD video disc.
