Hello, this is LG Electronics DS Division.

Updated System Firmware(Version 2450)of N2R1(Network Storage Product) is newly registed.

¡Ø Caution

1. Before the firmware upgrade of LG NAS, we recommand you to do configuration backup for stability
2. While upgrading firmware, Stop other works on PC and Be careful for PC Power-off.
3. Give a warning to client user so as not to access LG NAS while firmware upgrading           
4. Upgrade on PC which is installed Firewall or other Security program would be failed.

¢º Model Name : N2R1

¢º Firmware Version (System) : 2450

¢º Firmware name : firmware_2450_web.BIN

¢º How to upgrade :

1. If the current version is 2450, it is not necessary to upgrade the Firmware.
   Checking System & ODD Firmware is available on LG-NAS WebMenu --> System --> Firmware

2. Download firmware_2450_web.zip from Homepage. and extract the zip file.
   -> firmware_2450_web.BIN (designate the folder to download)

3. Click "Search" Button on "System" Category on LG-NAS WebMenu --> System --> Firmware.
   Find the firmware_2450_web.BIN.
   And then, click "Upgrade" button.

4. After upgrading, System will be restarted automatically.

5. It takes around 1~5 minutes to upgrade the firmware.

6. after or before upgrading a firmware, if you do Enclosure mode booting,
   Enclosure mode booting makes NAS system initializate for factory default.
   All data in NAS hdd disk will be erased, and the admin password will also be 
   initialized with ¡®admin¡¯

¡Ø Refer the 'readme.text' file for the improvement contents.

2. AjaXplorer 
   * Download bug fix for zip file with a korean file name
   * Add domain workgroup to SMB client command
   * Show the max upload file size(2GB) at file uploading from linux 

3. Modify a option to add/remove HDD
   * before: In the case that the Volumen Configuration is Individual Disks, by using 
     REMOVE option, 
     The disk can be taken out safely, but if the same disk is added again, it's 
     formatted without any messages.
   * after: ADD the option to check that if it is the HDD already used in the NAS, 
     a user can choose to conserve 
     the HDD's data or to format the data before adding a HDD disk.

4. Selective Mirror
   * Modify not to copy the file, in case that a user registers the folder that 
    has a single file, the size is more than 2GB in the source of the Selective Mirror.

5. UPnP modify
   * FTP Passive port forwarding (30EA -> 128EA)

6. Support airf, aiff file, on iTunes
   * before: mp3, m4a, m4p
   * after: mp3, m4a, m4p, aif, aiff

7. Modify the authority
   * to be possible for the users not belonging to any groups to access all folders
     in Burning window.

8. Add 2 languages (norge, finnish): wep page, wep help

9. Security Upgrade : Edit a file to have a security bug.

10. Modify a change to "LG Home NAS" after Web Burning
    * Modify to display the Burning is in progress(the progress rate %)

11. Correct typos on the 'help' file.
    * ifconfic -> ifconfig
