The Time Machine service is the automatic back-up function built in Mac OS X and allows the Mac data copies to be stored in LG Network Storage in their latest version.

♣ This service is available in only Mac OS X version 10.5 Leopard or later versions.

• [Web Set-up]
• ① Enter the hostname. The host name is the local host name after deleting “.local” found under “System Environment Set-up” → “Shared” → “Edit”.
• ② Enter the MAC address. The Mac address can be found by going to “Application Programs” → “Utilities” → “Terminal” and running the “ifconfic” command. Enter the “ether” address under en0.
• ③ Select “enable” and press “apply”.

• ① Go to “Move” → “Connect to Server” and enter “afp://LG Network Storage IP address” under “Server Address”, then click “Connect”.
• * The AFP function must already be activated under network server settings.
• ② If the log-in window appears, enter the name and password and click “Connect”. Enter “admin” for name and the administrator’s password for password.
• ③ When the mount volume window opens, select “Timemachine” and press the “OK” button.
• ④ Go to “Settings” → “Time Machine”, press “Change disk…”, select LG Network Storage “Timemachine” and press “Enable as back-up”.
• ⑤ When the log-in window appears again, repeat instruction (2) and the Time Machine will be “On” and back-up begins in LG Network Storage.
