What is Tag On?
Simply by tapping an NFC-equipped smartphone against a Tag On sticker, you can share content between your smartphone and TV and use your smartphone as a remote control.
What is a Tag On sticker?
The Tag On sticker provided by LG Smart TV allows a smartphone to connect to the Smart TV by using the NFC function of the smartphone.
Do not crumple or fold the Tag On sticker. Otherwise, the Tag On sticker may not be recognised.
Do not attach the sticker to a metal area on the TV. Otherwise, your smartphone will not be able to recognise the Tag On sticker.

How to Set Tag On
To use Tag On, the following settings are required.
  1. Connect your Smart TV and your phone to the same Wi-Fi network.
    If you are unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network, go to HomeSettingsNetworkWi-Fi Direct and set to On.
  2. Enable the NFC function on your smartphone.
  3. Tap your smartphone against the Tag On sticker.
  4. From the LG TV SmartShare app screen, check the device list and select a Smart TV that you want to connect to.
    If the LG TV SmartShare app is not installed, install it on the smartphone.
    If the TV you want to select is not on the list of device to connect of the LG TV SmartShare app, touch the rescan button.
  5. Follow the instructions displayed on the Smart TV screen to undertake the authentication process.
  6. Tap your smartphone against the Tag On sticker again.
If you want to reset the information stored on the Tag On sticker, go to Settings in the LG TV SmartShare app on the smartphoneNFC Tag On.
If you tap a smartphone with the LG TV SmartShare app installed against an authenticated Tag On sticker, you can use the service immediately without an additional authentication process.

To watch smartphone content on your TV
  1. Select and play the content you want to watch on the LG TV SmartShare app.
  2. Tap your smartphone against the Tag On sticker to play the content on the TV.
To control your TV with your smartphone
  1. Tap your smartphone against the Tag On sticker.
  2. Select and run the LG TV Remote-webOS app on your smartphone.
To use the remote control function, install the LG TV Remote-webOS app.
When other apps or features are running on the Smart TV, the Tag On function may not work normally. Shutting down other TV apps or features should correct any issues.
