PC Maintenance

1. Display

   Function	Description
   OLED Panel Care	Allows you to set the function to protect the OLED panel (screen). (The OLED Panel Care function is supported only in models with an OLED display.)
   Color Temperature Settings	Allows you to adjust the screen color temperature to cool (bluish screen color) or warm (reddish screen color) or use the automatic color temperature function.
   Reader Mode	Allows you to set the Reader Mode to reduce eye fatigue when reading documents. Using the Reader Mode and the Night light at the same time can cause color distortion. When you use the Reader Mode, turn off the Night light. You can turn [Night Mode] on or off in the Start button [] > [Settings] > [System] > [Display].
   Professional Mode	Provides a more extended color gamut to the display and enhances the content color reproduction. (Professional Mode uses an ICC profile and works only in some programs.)
   Connecting to Simple Display	When connecting an external display, you can set to display the menu that can set the Display Mode on the PC screen.
   Applying Lively Theme	You can set various themes provided by LG PC or select an operation method of Lively Theme according to the charging status.

2. Sound

   *Supported to the built-in microphone/speaker only.

   Function	Description
   AI Microphone Optimization	Cancels out the noise input to the microphone to deliver clear sound.
   AI Speaker Optimization	Cancels the noise output from the speakers to deliver clear sound.
   Smart Equalizer	By enhancing low tones in a quiet environment, it provides more ample and balanced sounds. (Smart Equalizer can be used only when the music mode of the Dolby Settings app is turned on.)
   User voice tracking	It removes voices of other users in the surroundings and delivers the registered user's voice only. It can be used in the Uni Directional Noise Canceling mode only.

3. Power & Performance

   Function	Description
   Cooling Mode	Allows you to set the fan mode of the PC according to the PC environment. Learn more >
   Battery Life Status	Displays the battery status so that you can replace the battery timely.
   Extend Battery Life	Allows you to lower the battery charge completion level to 80%, or set to extend the battery life through the AI mode that learned the user pattern and PC status.
   Turning off the screen by detecting AFK	Allows you to set to turn off the screen automatically by detecting AFK with a camera.
   USB-C® Offline Charging	Allows you to set the PC to charge external devices via the USB-C® port even when the PC is turned off.
   Battery Saving Mode	You can adjust some of the PC's settings, such as the Power mode, screen and sleep settings, keyboard backlight, display brightness, and Windows Auto Update, to use the battery for a longer duration. (This applies only when the PC adaptor is not connected to the power.)
   AI Battery Usage Detection Notification	You can set the PC to use its AI analysis function and alert you when multiple applications or vaccine programs that consume the battery a lot are being used.

4. Keyboard

   Function	Description
   Keyboard Backlight	You can set whether to use keyboard backlight and brightness, and can set the keyboard backlight to turn off automatically after the designated time.
   Lock Fn Key	Allows you to set the hot keys (F1 - F12) to operate even without pressing Fn.
   Shortcut Guide	While pressing and holding the [Fn] key, you can set to display the shortcut guide that can be combined with this key.
   Display NumLock Key Status	Allows you to set the screen to display the status change when you press the NumLock key.
   Display CapsLock Key Status	Allows you to set the screen to display the status change when you press the CapsLock key.
   Shortcut Settings	You can register the app or Internet address to set to use as a shortcut, or check the designated shortcut. Learn more >

[Cooling Mode Guide]

• AI Mode: Helps maintain the optimal status by analyzing a user’s use environment.

• Low: Minimizes fan speed so that you can use the PC in a quiet environment. (This may degrade your PC performance.)

• Normal: Optimizes PC performance, heat and noise.

• High: Sets to the tasks that require high performance. (This may result in increased PC surface temperature and noise, and shorter battery life.)

• Max: Sets to maximize system performance. (This may result in increased PC surface temperature and noise, and shorter battery life.)

  Caution:

  When using for a long term, use Normal Mode.

[Shortcut Setting Guide]

• User Shortcut Settings: On the Shortcut Settings List, select the navigation icon [] or the internet icon [] to register the desired app or Internet address to a shortcut.

  Tip:

  Some abnormal program files (exes) and Internet addresses (links) may not be linked.

  Shortcuts can be set from 1 to 5.

  After selecting the app-running file, right-click the mouse and use the [Show more options] > [Set functions to use with user Hot keys] menu to register the app quickly.

  

• Designated Shortcut: The Fn key can be combined with shortcuts supported only by LG PC to use some functions easily, and the designated shortcuts may not be changed by the user.

  Tip:

  The PC Cleaning Mode is a function that locks the keyboard, touchpad, and touch screen to stop operating when cleaning the product while the power is turned on. (The touch screen lock function applies only to the model with the touch screen provided.)

  Turn off PC Cleaning Mode: Press and hold the [Fn] + [L] keys on the keyboard until the bar displayed on the screen is filled.

  
  Caution:

  Do not clean using liquid or solution while the power is turned on.

  • A malfunction or fire may occur.

Security

1. AI Smart Sensing: Notifies the user of detection of someone else’s contact by using the AI-based contact detection function.

2. Secure Lock: Helps protect data safely when the PC is stolen or damaged.
