Public Wi-Fi

Public Wi-Fi finds and connects to a nearby public wireless network available free of charge.

Tip:

Public Wi-Fi can be re-installed by searching Public Wi-Fi in Microsoft Store.

To use some functions of public Wi-Fi, your PC must be connected to the Internet.

Running Public Wi-Fi

Select the Start button [] > [All] and run [Public Wi-Fi].

Public Wi-Fi Main Screen
  1. Wi-Fi list: Displays a list of nearby public Wi-Fi routers.

  2. Location Search: Directly searches for a place or finds the location of a public Wi-Fi router on a map.

  3. Favorites: Displays a list of public Wi-Fi routers registered as favorites.

  4. Inquiries: Allows to submit public Wi-Fi related inquiries.

  5. Quality measurement: Measures network quality.

  6. Settings: Sets the map search range.

  7. Nearby Wi-Fi list: Displays a list of public Wi-Fi routers near your location.
