Using the Option Setting Mode

For Steam Models

You can set various options and extra functions to meet your individual needs.

  • Ensure the appliance is off.

  • Press the Power a and Half Load b buttons at the same time to enter the Settings Mode.

  • Press the button to select the desired function. Then press the button repeatedly to toggle through until the desired setting appears in the display.

    Refer to the table below. Each time you press the button, the setting changes in the following sequence:

  • Press the START c button to save changes.

Note

  • Some functions, such as Remote Control Mode, Product Sound, Digital Display, and Brightness of Digital Display can only be set in the LG ThinQ application.

  • See the Water Hardness Level and Rinse Aid Level for more detailed information about these settings.

  • Setting the Chime Sound

    • The default setting is Lo.

    • Set the Chime Sound to Hi for the loudest volume, Lo for a quieter volume, or Off to disable it completely.

    • The alarm sound cannot be reduced or turned off, regardless of settings.

  • Setting the Off Sound

    • The default setting is On.

    • Turn the sound on or off once the wash cycle is finished. This setting is different from setting the Chime Sound.

  • Setting the Status Indicator Light

    • The default setting is Off. When OFF shows on the display, the white LED stays on for 90 seconds after the cycle has finished.

    • Selecting this option keeps the white LED on and ENd displayed until the door is opened after the wash cycle ends.

    • This option can only be set when the Auto Open Dry function is turned off.

  • Setting the Auto Open Dry

    • The default setting is On.

    • Turn the Auto Open Dry on or off.

  • Setting the Wi-Fi

    • The default setting is On.

    • Turn the Wi-Fi on or off.

  • Setting the Machine Clean Icon

    • The default setting is Off.

    • Turn the Machine Clean Icon on or off.
