How to Provide Adequate Gas Supply

The Ecuadorian Gas Connection Regulation is NTE INEN 2260.Your range is designed to operate at a pressure of 2,9 kPa on LP gas. LP gas operating pressure: 2,9 kPa (2 900 Pa) or 29 mbar or 29,5 cmH2OMake sure you are supplying your range with the type of gas for which it is configured.

Connecting the Range to Gas

Shut off the range gas supply valve before removing the old range and leave it off until the new hook-up has been completed.A manual valve shall be installed in an accessible location in the gas piping external to the appliance for the purpose of turning on or shutting off gas to the appliance.Never reuse an old connector when installing a new range.To protect against gas leaks, use a qualified pipe joint sealant on all external threads.A combination of connectors must be used to connect the range to the existing gas supply line. Your connection may be different depending on the type of supply line, size, and location.The gas connection is located at the rear left of the range. Only use connecting lines or flexible tubes which comply with the applicable regulations and which are approved for this purpose. Turn on the gas to the appliance and then check that there is no gas leaks by pouring foam on the connections and bends in the tubes.Do not use a flame to check for gas leaks.Check that the copper tube is not damaged or bent in such a way that it may block the gas to the range.Ensure that the full length of the tubes are accessible for inspection.If you use flexible tubes, make sure that:the tubes do not become trapped or squashed.the tubes are not subject to twisting or pulling forces.the tubes do not come into contact with sharp edges or cutting edges.the tubes do not come into contact with parts that could reach a temperature higher than 70 °C above room temperature.After the installation, check if there is any gas leak, using soap or liquid detergent foam.Do not use plastic pipe to connect the range. Plastic pipe may cause a gas leak. Use metal flexible pipe to connect the range.
