Removing the Refrigerator Door

Remove the top hinge cover screws a. Lift the hook (not visible), located at the bottom of the cover b with a flat-head screwdriver.Type ARotate the hinge lever c clockwise. Lift the top hinge d free of the hinge lever latch e.Type BRemove the three bolts using a 13/32 in. (10 mm) socket wrench and lift off the top hinge. Set parts aside.When lifting the hinge, be careful that the door does not fall forward.Lift the door from the middle hinge pin and remove the door.Place the door, inside facing up, on a non-scratching surface.

Removing Freezer Drawers

This feature is only available on some models.To prevent accidents, keep children and pets away from the drawer. Do not leave the drawer open. If the Durabase storage bin is removed from the freezer drawer, there is sufficient space for a small child or pet to crawl inside.Do not sit or stand on the freezer drawer.Use two or more people to remove and install refrigerator doors and freezer drawers.Be careful of sharp hinges on both sides of the drawer.When you lay the drawer down, be careful not to damage the floor.Pull the drawer open to full extension.Gently lift and pull out the ice bin.Lift the front of the drawer up, then pull it straight out.Remove the Durabase basket from the rails. Remove the screws from the rails at both ends.Grip both sides of the drawer and pull it up to remove it from the rails.Do not hold the handle when removing or replacing the drawer. The handle may come off, causing personal injury.Hold both rails and push them in simultaneously.

Removing Freezer Door

This feature is only available on some models.Before beginning, make sure you completely remove the refrigerator door. See Removing the Refrigerator Door.Use two or more people to remove and install the freezer door. Failure to do so can result in back or other injury.When you lay the door down, be careful not to damage the floor.Do not sit or stand on the freezer door.To prevent accidents, keep children and pets away from the door. Do not leave the door open.Use a 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) hex socket wrench to loosen and remove the hinge pin c from the middle hinge bracket a. Use a 13/32 in. (10 mm) socket wrench to remove the two bolts d. Remove the screw b and the washer e, and set the middle hinge and other parts aside.Carefully lift up the freezer door. Remove and place it on a non-scratching surface.

Assembling Freezer Drawers

This feature is only available on some models.Pull out both rails simultaneously until they are fully extended.Grasp the drawer on each side and hook the drawer supports into the rail tabs located on both sides.Do not hold the handle when removing or replacing the drawer. The handle may come off, causing personal injury.Lower the door into its final position and insert the screws in the rails on both sides.Insert the Durabase basket in the rail assembly.Insert the drawer into the frame, and push the drawer back until it clicks into place. Replace the ice bin in the drawer.

Assembling Freezer Door

This feature is only available on some models.Place the freezer door down on the bottom hinge pin a.Put the washer e between the freezer door and the middle hinge. Attach the middle hinge a with the previously removed two bolts d and screw b. Reattach the middle hinge pin c using a 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) hex socket wrench.

Assembling the Refrigerator Door

Make sure that the hinge pin sleeve is inserted in the bottom of the door. Lower the door onto the middle hinge pin.Align the door with the cabinet.Type AFit the hinge a over the hinge lever latch b and slot it into place. Rotate the lever c counterclockwise to secure the hinge.Type BLine up the top hinge with the holes in the top of the refrigerator. Use the three bolts to replace the hinge. Tighten the bolts.Replace the hinge cover d. Insert and tighten the cover screws e.
