Reversing the Refrigerator Handle

Loosen the set screws a with a 3/32 in. (2.5 mm) Allen wrench, and remove the handle. Loosen the mounting fasteners b that connect to the refrigerator door and handle using a 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) Allen wrench, and remove the mounting fasteners.Carefully rotate the decorative screw covers c counterclockwise with your fingers until they loosen and fall out. Once they're removed, install the covers in the screw holes d on the opposite side.Attach the mounting fasteners b to the opposite side of the door using a 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) Allen wrench. Place the handle on the door by fitting the handle footprints over the mounting fasteners b and tightening the set screws a with a 3/32 in. (2.5 mm) Allen wrench.

Reversing Doors

Remove the top hinge cover screws a. Use a flat-head screwdriver to release the tabs inside the front of the cover at the bottom b. Remove the cover.Type ARotate the hinge lever c clockwise. Lift the top hinge d free of the hinge lever latch e.Type BRemove the three bolts using a 13/32 in. (10 mm) socket wrench and lift off the top hinge. Set parts aside.When lifting the hinge, be careful that the door does not fall forward.Lift the door from the middle hinge pin and remove the door.Place the door, inside facing up, on a non-scratching surface.Remove the four screws a, the hinge pin sleeve b, the hinge lever c and hinge bracket d from the bottom right side of the door.Turn the hinge lever a over and install it, the hinge bracket b, screws c, and hinge pin sleeve d on the bottom left side of the door.Use a 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) hex socket wrench to loosen the hinge pin a and remove it. Use a 3/16 in. (5 mm) Allen wrench and a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two Allen-head b and one Phillips-head c screws. Remove the hinge d.With a flat-head screwdriver, carefully pry off and remove the cover over the bolt holes on the left side of the refrigerator.Remove the outer lower decorative screw from the flange on the frame between the freezer and refrigerator doors. (You will need this hole for the middle hinge.)Flip the middle hinge bracket a and position it on the left side of refrigerator. Insert two Allen-head screws c and the Phillips-head screw b.Insert the hinge pin a using a 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) socket wrench.The bracket b has been flipped, but the hinge pin a stays in the same orientation with its hexagonal end facing upward.Insert the decorative screw a into the outer hole on the flange along the right front side. Insert the cover b over the 2 open bolt holes on the right side. The cover is force-fitted.Loosen the two screws and remove the left hinge cap.Place the refrigerator door down over the hinge pin on the middle hinge pin bracket.The left top hinge, right hinge cap, and left hinge cover are provided for reversing doors.Type AFit the hinge a over the hinge lever latch b and slot it into place. Rotate the lever c clockwise to secure the hinge. Assemble the left hinge cover with the two screws d.Type BLine up the left top hinge with the holes in the top of the refrigerator. Use the three bolts to replace the hinge. Assemble the left hinge cover with the two screws.Assemble the right hinge cap with the two screws.
