Adjusting Air Shutters for Oven Burner

The range comes from the factory with the air shutters adjusted for the proper air flow for natural gas. If the range is converted to LP gas, it must be done by a qualified technician.

The primary air is correctly set when the flame is stable and blue/green.

  • Push the bottom plate backwards slightly and pull upwards to remove.

  • Loosen the screw a and turn the air shutter b clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the air shutter.

  • Set the air shutter to 'A' size, tighten the screw a.

  • Push and turn the oven knob counterclockwise to the maximum setting 250 ℃ to test the flame stability.

    • The oven burner will ignite so the flames can be check through the oven window.

    • If the flames are yellow, the air shutter on the burner needs to be opened further. The oven burner will ignite so the flames can be check through the oven window.

    • If the flames flutter or blow away, the air shutter on the burner needs to be closed further.

  • Re-assemble the bottom plate and the back cover in the opposite order of removing.

Adjusting the Oven Burner to the Low Flame (Simmer) Setting

  • Open the oven door.

  • Push and turn the oven knob counterclockwise.

  • When the oven burner is ignited, keep the oven knob pushed for 15 seconds and then release it.

  • Close the oven door and remove the oven knob.

  • Insert a small, flat-blade screwdriver into the gas tap opening in the control panel.

  • Turn the screw to adjust.

    • If natural gas is connected, turn the setting screw counterclockwise to loosen it.

    • If LP gas is connected, turn the setting screw clockwise to tighten it.

  • Replace the knob and heat the oven for 15 minutes.

  • Turn the oven knob to the minimum setting 140 ˚C.

  • Remove the oven knob again.

  • Repeat steps 5-6 until a stable flame is burning correctly.

    • To increase the gas flow, turn the setting screw counterclockwise and loosen it.

    • To decrease the gas flow, turn the setting screw clockwise and tighten it.

    • The setting is correct when the height of the small flame is around 3 to 4 mm.

  • Replace the oven knob.

Warning
  • Make sure that the flame does not go out when the gas flow is changed quickly from maximum to minimum and vice versa, and when the appliance door is open and closed.

  • Do not completely remove the valve set screw from the oven valve. The valve set screw is an integral part of the gas valve assembly. Removing the valve set screw will cause a gas leak.
