Before Using the Icemaker

Fill the icemaker or dispenser water tank with potable water only.The icemaker produces ice normally once approximately 48 hours have passed after the appliance is initially installed.If half-frozen ice is put into the ice storage bin, it will cause the exiting ice cubes to lump together. It takes about 4 hours at -4 ℉ (-20 ℃) for ice production.If the freezer door is frequently opened, warm air enters the freezer compartment. It may take a longer time to freeze ice.Be careful not to twist the icemaker with force or it may break.Do not freeze the ice in the ice storage bin. This could break it and cause appliance damage or injury.

Using the Icemaker

This feature is only available on some models.Hold the handle of ice tray and pull it out.Fill the ice tray with potable water up to the water line.Place the ice tray back in position carefully.Rotate the icemaker handle clockwise.To use the ice, lift the ice storage bin slightly to remove it.Fill the ice tray with potable water and place it in the freezer compartment.After the water is frozen, hold the ice tray at its ends and twist gently.You can remove the icemaker or ice storage bin to create more space inside the freezer if you do not use it.
