Using Live Playback (Real-time Playback)
It is a function you can use to temporarily save the program you are currently watching to a USB storage device, so you can play back any scenes you might miss while watching TV. This function allows you to continue watching from where you were previously if you go out for a while.
- Input the USB HDD in the USB port.
- Set the Live Playback to On.
- While watching the live broadcast, use the pointer to select a point on the progress bar where you want to resume watching.
Select a point before the current point on the progress bar.

Select a device to be used with Live Playback when two or more USB HDDs are connected to the TV.
You cannot use a USB flash drive. Connect a USB HDD with 80 GB or more of total storage.
If there is not enough remaining space in the USB HDD, Live Playback may not work properly. To use the Live Playback function, you need the USB HDD which has at least 1 GByte.
It can be used in analog or digital broadcasting and in Input mode.
With the Live Playback function, you can play a channel back for up to two hours. This time may vary depending on your region.
The videos saved in Live Playback mode are deleted if you turn off the TV without recording them.
For some Ultra HD models, if the Live Playback function is in use for an analog channel, you cannot select the buffering section of the programs broadcast in Ultra HD. (The channel will be switched to the current program being broadcast when you try to select the section.)
