Cleaning the Appliance
If the appliance will not be used for an extended period of time, dry the appliance to maintain it in the best condition. Clean the appliance regularly to maintain optimal performance and to prevent possible breakdown.
Dry the appliance in Fan mode for 3 to 4 hours and disconnect the power. There may be internal damage if moisture is left in the appliance's components.
Before using the appliance again, dry the components inside the appliance in Fan mode for 3 to 4 hours. This will help to reduce the odour generated from moisture.

Before removing the filter from the appliance, turn off the appliance and pull out the power plug or turn off the main power switch.
Do not forcibly separate or assemble the filter. Doing so may damage the filter.
After cleaning the filter, install the filter properly before operating the appliance.
If the filter is not installed, dust or foreign substances may enter the indoor unit and cause appliance failure.
If you continue to use the filter without thoroughly cleaning it according to the cleaning cycle, the appliance may emit an odour. When using the appliance in a dusty environment, clean the filter more often than the regular interval.
If there is a lot of contaminants such as dust or if the filter is damaged, replace it with a new one.
Contact the LG Electronics service centre when filter replacement is required. The cost of filter replacement or cleaning through the LG Electronics service centre is the responsibility of the consumer regardless of the warranty period.
