Window Open Detection (On Some Models/LG ThinQ)

When a window is opened or outside air comes in, the temperature change can be detected and Active Energy Control mode is turned on.

To use the Window Open Detection function or set the Active Energy Control Turn Off Time, connect the appliance to the LG ThinQ application.

  • If a window is opened, 8O, 6O or 4O appear on the indoor unit display.

Note

  • The Window Open Detection function can be used with the Cooling and Heating modes.

  • The Window Open Detection function is cancelled in the following situations.

    • If the appliance recognizes that the window is closed

    • If the Active Energy Control Turn Off Time has elapsed

    • If the operating mode is changed

  • The Window Open Detection function does not work in the following cases.

    • If Cooling and Heating operation is run too soon after turning on the appliance

    • If the temperature difference between the indoors and outdoors is not large

    • If there is insufficient ventilation through the windows

  • When connected to the Multi Outdoor unit, this functions may not be supported.
