Control Panel and Functions

  1. Fridge Temperature

    Press this button to select a desired fridge temperature or fridge theme.

    • To set the temperature, press the temperature screen and adjust the temperature using J / K. The temperature can be adjusted from 1 ℃ to 7 ℃.

      • The default fridge temperature is 3 ℃.

      • Change the default temperature in the LG ThinQ application, if desired.

    • To set the fridge theme, press the temperature screen and the Mode icon (R). Select the desired theme using J / K and press the back button (!) to set.

      • Available modes : White Wine 7 ℃, Sparkling Wine 4 ℃, Veggies 3 ℃, Fruit 2 ℃, Yogurt 2 ℃, Beer/Drinks 1 ℃

  2. Freezer Temperature

    Press this button to select a desired freezer temperature.

    • To set the temperature, press the temperature screen and adjust the temperature using J / K. The temperature can be adjusted from -15 ℃ to -23 ℃.

      • The default freezer temperature is -18 ℃.

      • Change the default temperature in the LG ThinQ application, if desired.

  3. More Modes

    Press this button to select a desired mode.

    • Select the desired mode in the LG ThinQ application.

    • Available modes : Party, Sound Sleep, Vacation+

      • Vacation+

        This function is useful when you are away on a holiday. When this function is on, the fridge temperature is 7 ℃ and the freezer temperature -15 ℃.

        Caution

        • When this function is on, be careful about storing foods that require a lower temperature than the default temperature.

        • When you return home, remember to turn this function off to unlock the other buttons and return the refrigerator to its previous temperature settings.

  4. Colour Mode

    Press this button to turn on or off the LED on the appliance door panel. Refer to the Colour Mode for more information.

  5. Settings

    Adjust the settings to suit your preferences.

    • Available settings : Express Cool, Express Freeze, Wi-Fi, Screen Lock, Cover Screen, Date, Time, Brightness, Smart Diagnosis

Getting Started

After turning on the appliance for the first time, adjust the settings to suit your preferences.

  • Set the date and press Next.

  • Set the time and press Next.

  • The main screen appears on the control panel.

Settings

To adjust settings after the initial setup, press Settings at the bottom right of the main screen.

Swipe the screen to navigate through the Settings screens.

Wi-Fi

This button allows the appliance to connect to a home Wi-Fi network. Refer to SMART FUNCTIONS for information on the initial setup of the LG ThinQ application.

  • Press Settings at the bottom right of the main screen, then press Wi-Fi.

  • Press Use Wi-Fi.

  • Follow the instructions on the control panel to set up Wi-Fi.

  • When Wi-Fi is connected, the Wi-Fi icon (f) appears at the top of the control panel.

Screen Lock

The Screen Lock disables every other button on the control panel.

Turning on Screen Lock

  • Press Settings at the bottom right of the main screen.

  • Switch on the Screen Lock feature.

  • When the Screen Lock function is activated, a lock icon (k) appears at the top of the control panel.

Turning off Screen Lock

  • Press any part of the screen while the Screen Lock is activated.

  • When a pop-up screen appears, press and hold the lock icon (k) for 3 seconds.

  • The lock icon will disappear from the top of the display when Screen Lock is deactivated.

Time and Date

Set the clock theme to Time and Date to display the time and date on the control panel.

Setting the Time

  • Press Settings at the bottom right of the main screen and then press Time.

  • Set the current time.

    • Set the correct hour and minutes using J / K.

    • If Wi-Fi is connected, the current time is set automatically.

  • Press the back button (!) to set.

Setting the Date

  • Press Settings at the bottom right of the main screen and then press Date.

  • Set the current date using J / K.

  • Press the back button (!) to set.

Clock Themes

A clock is displayed on the main screen of the control panel. Select a clock theme in the LG ThinQ application.

Brightness

Adjust the brightness of the control panel from Level 1 to Level 5.

  • Press Settings at the bottom right of the main screen and then press Brightness.

  • Adjust the brightness by pressing and dragging the dot across the bar, by tapping anywhere on the bar, or by pressing ~ or !.

Note

  • For optimal food preservation, increasing or decreasing 1 ℃ from the default temperature is recommended for each compartment.

  • The control panel will turn off automatically for energy saving.

  • If there is any finger or skin contacts to the control panel while cleaning it, the button function may operate.
