Cleaning the Dust Bin, Air Filter and Motor Safety Filter
Emptying the Dust Bin
Turn off the vacuum cleaner and unplug it before emptying the dust bin.
The dust bin needs emptying when the dust bin level reaches the MAX line a.
Grasp the handle of the dust bin and then press the dust bin separation lever b. Pull out the dust bin.
Raise dust bin cap c and empty the dust bin.
Don't grasp the handle of the dust bin when you are moving the vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner's body may fall when separating dust bin and body. You should grasp the carrier handle when you are moving the vacuum cleaner.
Cleaning the Dust Bin
Grasp the handle of the dust bin and then press the dust bin separation lever a. Pull out the dust bin.
Raise dust bin cap b and empty the dust bin.
Wash dust bin cap and dust bin.
Dry them fully in shade so that moisture is entirely removed.
Assembling the dust bin cap and dust bin
Insert the dust bin cap to the dust bin.
Insert the dust bin in the product body.
Cleaning the Air Filter and Motor Safety Filter
If suction power decreases after cleaning the dust bin, clean the air filter and the motor safety filter.
Open the vacuum cleaner cover by pushing the button.
Grasp the handle of the dust separator a and take out it.
Pull the guide cover lever b to open the guide cove and remove dust.
Open the air filter cover by pushing the air filter cover lever c and take out the air filter.
Separate the air filter e and motor safety filter d from the dust separator.
Wash the air filter, motor safety filter and dust separator. Do not wash filter with hot water.
To dry thoroughly, the air filter and the motor safety filter should be cleaned as below the figure.
Dry them fully for more than 24 hours in shade.
To avoid odour, allow the filters to dry completely in a well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight for at least 24 hours before reassembling.
If filters are damaged, do not use them. In this cases, contact LG Electronics Service Agent. Wash filters at least once a month.
